Meet the Instructors
Nick Kurkov
Nick is an expert end to end Senior QA engineer with over 10 years of experience in both manual and automated testing in numerous testing methodologies and areas. On recent projects in Israel where he lives now, he is utilizing both automated and manual testing in various projects. Previous work experience includes companies like Microsoft, At&t, Amazon, T-Mobile, REI, and World Vision. Nick loves to pass on his experience and relevant uptodate knowledge of the industry to others and see their lives changed. In the past he has helped many to pass interviews and land their first job in the QA world. This has led him to make his passion more focused by co-founding the School of QA. As a hobby he likes to travel, read books and spend time with his family in Haifa, Israel.
Teddy Natekin
Teddy Natekin is a professional Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. With over a decade of experience in the IT industry, Teddy started at a junior position and quickly advanced to a senior level, where he guided and trained onboarding and less experienced QA analysts. His keen eye, attention to detail, and analytical mindset helped him advance and expand his
experience in the IT industry, taking him to companies like Amazon, AWS, Microsoft, AT&T, Groupon, and REI, to mention a few.
From managing multiple projects, leading numerous teams, and training new QA analysts, Teddy gained the best experience, skillset, and knowledge for the QA world. His agility and multitasking skills led him to opportunities to guide and assist dozens of people to get into the IT industry, where they, too, became exceptional software testers.
Teddy recognized a love and passion for helping, guiding, and training others to become professional QA analysts, which led him to start a software testing school with his friend and colleague, Nick Kurkov. At School of QA, Teddy is a lead trainer who works directly with students in a collaborative way. He shares his years of expertise, knowledge, and understanding of software testing and the QA world. His lively personality, fun attitude, and leadership skills help his students gain confidence and professionalism for their QA journey.
Outside of work, Teddy enjoys quality time with friends and family, loves to travel, and is always up for an adventure! From board games to camping, he’s always doing something fun and enjoying life.
